We fetch the Casper logo from casper.com, decode the PNG, and count every pixel. Transparent pixels are not counted, on a logo delivered on a clear background they would otherwise outnumber everything and report the colour of nothing.
Colours a person cannot tell apart are merged. The edge of any letterform is a ramp of half-shades between the ink and whatever is behind it, and publishing six of those as brand colours is how the scraped palettes on other sites end up listing four greys.
