How is engagement rate calculated?

(Average likes + average comments) ÷ followers, the standard formula, so accounts of different sizes are comparable.

Is the data live?

Numbers are read on demand and cached for a day. Where we have not read something yet, the page shows an em dash rather than an estimate.
