Built for consumer retail and D2C brands
Find out who is talking about your brand, whether that is more or less than usual, and which creators are driving it. Start with your own brand, no account needed.
Three jobs, done properly
Catch the mentions that never tag you
Instagram only notifies you about @-mentions, which are the minority. Captions that name your brand and hashtags used without a tag never fire anything. We collect by hashtag and keyword, which is the only way to see them.
See who is posting, not just how many
Every mention comes with the account behind it. That is what tells you whether a spike came from one large creator or from fifty customers, which are the same number and completely different news.
Compare against your real competitive set
A number on its own means nothing. Every figure is shown against your category median and against the brands you actually compete with, which you define, rather than us guessing from follower count.
Why brands like yours, specifically
The database is consumer retail and D2C on purpose, beauty and skincare, fashion, food and beverage, wellness, home, pet, baby. That focus is what makes a benchmark mean anything: comparing your engagement rate to a global average across every industry tells you nothing, while comparing it to the median of the brands in your own category tells you where you stand.
It also means the competitive sets are real. A competitors page here is curated by hand rather than assembled from whoever happens to have a similar follower count.
If you want to see what the collection actually produces before talking to anyone, the trending brand mentions on Instagram board is public: every row is a real post naming a real brand, with the creator behind it and what it gained this week.
What this is not
We would rather you find this out now than after paying. This is Instagram only, not the open web, not news, not forums, not TikTok. It does not publish or schedule posts. It does not tell you what is selling: for TikTok Shop revenue and SKU data, Charm.io answers that and we do not, and for retail sell-through Particl does. If you need the entire internet watched, an enterprise listening suite is the right shape and we say so on every comparison page.
What it costs
Every brand page is free to read without an account, permanently. Unwatched brands are collected about every 14 days and monitored brands are shown publicly 14 days behind, so a subscription is what makes a brand daily and live for you. $49/year per brand, or $79 once once, less per brand as you add more. Brands already in the database
Look up a brand →Questions from brands
Is my brand already in the database?
Possibly. There are 855 consumer retail and D2C brands in it across 14 categories. Search above; if yours is there it already has a public page with its current numbers. If it is not, email us and we will add it, which costs you nothing.
What do I actually get that Instagram's own analytics do not give me?
Instagram's analytics measure the account you own, what you posted and how it did. They cannot show you what other people published about you, and they cannot compare you to a competitor. Both are outside the account, which is exactly where brand conversation happens.
Do I need to connect my Instagram account?
No. Everything here comes from public data, so there is no OAuth step, no permissions to grant, and nothing to disconnect later. It also means you can look up a competitor as easily as yourself, which is most of the value.
What happens when I subscribe to a brand?
That brand moves from fortnightly onto daily collection, the 14-day public delay lifts for you, and new mentions arrive by email as they are found. You pick which brands after checkout and can swap them whenever your competitive set changes.
Can I monitor competitors as well as my own brand?
Yes, and most people do. A plan covers a number of brands rather than one, precisely because nobody watches themselves in isolation. You watch yourself and the three or four brands you are judged against.
What does it cost?
$49/year per brand, or $79 once for lifetime access, less per brand as you add more. The price is on the pricing page and there is no sales call, because there is no salesperson.
