Target logo

The Target logo

PNG, transparent, at 128, 256 and 512 pixels, taken from target.com and served unchanged. The mark is built on red #CC0001, with 1 other colour in the file. It is Target's trademark, shown here to identify the brand.

The Target logo on light and on dark

Both, because a transparent PNG that reads on white can disappear on black, and you want to know that before it is on a slide.

Questions

Where does this Target logo come from?

target.com, the brand's own domain. We fetch it, cache it at our edge so their server is hit once rather than once per visitor, and serve it unchanged. Nothing is redrawn, recoloured or traced.

Can I use the Target logo?

It is Target's trademark and not ours to license. Writing about the brand. A comparison, a press piece, a competitor slide that names them, is normally fine. Putting their mark on your own product, packaging or marketing is not. Ask Target if you are unsure; they are the only ones who can answer.

What colours are in the Target logo?

Two of them, counted pixel by pixel from the file above, led by red #CC0001. The full list with RGB, HSL and contrast is on the colour page.

What size do I get?

128, 256 and 512 pixels square, as PNG, transparent wherever the source file is. Any width up to 800 works by changing the number in the URL.
